And, for history buffs — we're centrally located from the William Clinton library in Little Rock (1 hour East on I-30) , his birth place, in Hope (just 45 minutes west of I-30) and his boyhood home of Hot Springs. There are numerous adventure races that take place throughout the year. Bring your family out and have a good day riding. Once you get tired or hot you can even stop and take a swim in the lake. Crater of Diamonds
Maybe one day you would like to adventure out and take the kids diamond mining. At the Crater of Diamonds you can experience a one-of-a-kind adventure hunting for real diamonds. You'll search over a 37 1/2-acre plowed field, the eroded surface of an ancient volcanic crater that 100 million years ago brought to the surface the diamonds and some of the semi-precious stones lucky visitors find here today. They are only an hour and three minutes (50.8 miles) from Iron Mountain Marina Drive.
